when life gives you lemons, make lemonade

I sure am getting tired of lemonade.

the crapmobile went down

Well, my dad finally wrecked the crapmobile. He rear-ended a truck and it would cost more than its worth to fix it. She lasted a good long time, he bought her new in 1999 and put nearly 300,000 miles on her, everyone he took her to for service was surprised that she was still running. When I went to the junk yard looking for parts for her last summer, there were plenty if them in the junk yard. She did exactly what dad needed her for, a no frills car that he could drive into the ground, and I was greatfull to have her when the blue went down. Its too bad she's gone, dad will be hard pressed to find another one like her. Good bye Crapmobile, you'll be missed.

mi juera

this is what i got to replace the blue. it's my first foreign car, but a friend practically gave it to me. she needs a little work, but it's mostly cosmetic, and nothing that's going to be really hard to do. so far she's been fun. we'll see how things go.

saga of the crapmobile

this is my dad's car, or as i have affectionately referred to it, the crapmobile. it has been a month since i lost the blue and the insurance company has yet to un-ass my money, so I'm still driving the crapmobile. now, don't get me wrong, it's a good little car, it's just not conducive to my lifestyle. i'm 6'2" and 230lbs and i don't really fit in there, the tolerances are so close that i can't have a cup in the cup holder. everyone i work with very much enjoys watching me get in and out. i actually have to get in twice, i have to sit, and then get in. people who see me driving it think it's the most pathetic thing they have ever seen. i have been trying to fix a few things that are wrong with it while i have it (it has over 200,000 miles on it) i figured it's the least i can do. so far i've broke a $200 dollar part while trying to fix something else ($15 at the junk yard). while i'm very grateful to have it, it's driving me crazy. i have a few vehicles in mind that i want to get after my insurance pays out (getting the wagon fixed is priority #1) but until that time me and the crapmobile are getting to know each other quite well.
