i bought a hearse
I bought a hearse, but that's not what this story is about, I just find it interesting that the following events happened the day after I bought a hearse.
My dog Butch passed away about 6 months ago, for the sake of brevity, I'll just say that he was the best dog ever, and that I loved him.
He loved being outdoors and he loved being at my parents house because he could freely run around in there backyard and explore all the different smells. Butch's collar would make a very distinct sound when he shook his head, so distinct that I could tell It was him, even with 3 other dogs in the house.
Today as I was getting ready for church alone at my parents house, the house was quiet, the tv was off, I didn't have any music playing and my other dog, Spike, was actually sitting still and I was rather enjoying the quiet.
As I was walking past the large picture window that looks out to the back yard, I heard Butch's collar. My first reaction was to look outside to see what Butch was doing, and it took me a second to realize that he wasn't going to be out there. As soon as that realization hit me, I heard it again. I looked around trying to figure out where that sound came from and thought "oh, it must be Spike". I looked over, and sure enough, Spike was laying on a chair just a few feet away. As I was looking at him laying perfectly still and he was looking back at me with a "why are you starring at me" look on his face, I heard Butch's collar again and so I just said "Butch, if that's you, you're always welcome here, and I miss you buddy". After that, I didn't hear it again.

i could pull that off
I was talking to a friend of mine earlier and she mentioned that she was going to a black and white ball, and I said "wouldn't it be funny if someone showed up with a white girl and a black girl". To which she replied "only you could pull that off". And you know what, I bet I could!

there are two kinds of people in the world
Those who understand that there are more than two kinds of people in the world, and those who don't.

i saw her
I saw some guy driving the Blue, not a car like her, but the exact car, it was weird. The only thing I can liken it to is if someone saw his dead ex-wife with another man. I wasn't sure how I felt at first, I was glad she's back on the road, but I was mad to c her with someone else. I feel ok now, I guess I was able to let her go after all the trouble with the insurance company. I hope her and her new man are as happy as we were, I miss you Blue. Everything said, I'm not really surprised she ended up back in pasadena.

the crapmobile went down
Well, my dad finally wrecked the crapmobile. He rear-ended a truck and it would cost more than its worth to fix it. She lasted a good long time, he bought her new in 1999 and put nearly 300,000 miles on her, everyone he took her to for service was surprised that she was still running. When I went to the junk yard looking for parts for her last summer, there were plenty if them in the junk yard. She did exactly what dad needed her for, a no frills car that he could drive into the ground, and I was greatfull to have her when the blue went down. Its too bad she's gone, dad will be hard pressed to find another one like her. Good bye Crapmobile, you'll be missed.

saga of the crapmobile
this is my dad's car, or as i have affectionately referred to it, the crapmobile. it has been a month since i lost the blue and the insurance company has yet to un-ass my money, so I'm still driving the crapmobile. now, don't get me wrong, it's a good little car, it's just not conducive to my lifestyle. i'm 6'2" and 230lbs and i don't really fit in there, the tolerances are so close that i can't have a cup in the cup holder. everyone i work with very much enjoys watching me get in and out. i actually have to get in twice, i have to sit, and then get in. people who see me driving it think it's the most pathetic thing they have ever seen. i have been trying to fix a few things that are wrong with it while i have it (it has over 200,000 miles on it) i figured it's the least i can do. so far i've broke a $200 dollar part while trying to fix something else ($15 at the junk yard). while i'm very grateful to have it, it's driving me crazy. i have a few vehicles in mind that i want to get after my insurance pays out (getting the wagon fixed is priority #1) but until that time me and the crapmobile are getting to know each other quite well.

today i learned that when people tell me what kind of car i should get to replace the one i wrecked, it pisses me off!

the blue went down
after almost 8 years and over 120,000 miles i had to let her go. at approximately 1430 hrs on the 5th of may in the year of our lord 2009 she was pronounced a total loss. we had a good run, out of all the women in my life she was one of the ones who stuck around. we had alot of fun times, took out some pretty girls, and did afew things we probably shouldn't have. she was a good car and in the end she did her job and protected me and my brother. i believe that had we been in a lesser car we might not have walked away. i'm gunna miss you, you're my girl Blue!
